Golden Gate Greats has several sponsorship packages available.
We try our best to support a comfortable listening environment featuring a lot of music, and not a lot of commercials. In fact, we'll only air up to 6 minutes of advertising per hour, at about 25 minutes past, and 50 past, 2-3 minutes each.
We currently support block sponsors and weather sponsors.
Our sponsorships don't consist of just a random spot in a commercial break. Our sponsorships are for a 15 minute block of music, and include at 2 sponsor mentions, the first as we begin the block, another at about mid-block, then the commercial spot at the 2 minute commercial break. As there will likely be two sponsors in any given half hour, and each sponsor will be first every other day.
A sponsor mention is a voice stating that "This block of Big 3G Radio is brought to you by (sponsor)" or "Our thanks to (sponsor) for sponsoring this block of music on Golden Gate Greats -dot- com - stop on by and show 'em your appreciation," or something.
If the sponsor has a special event going on, this can be part of the sponsor mentions on the air.
"(Sponsor) has a really big sale coming up this weekend that you're going to want to check out - details about that coming up..."
All sponsor mentions will either occur on top of a music bed, or as part of a song intro talkover, unless the sponsor really wants it dry, which we don't recommend.
With the block sponsorship model, listeners will hear your company's name mentioned twice during the block, then up to two commercial spots of up to 60 seconds in duration, which we believe most listeners will well tolerate, and not change to another station. This, along with a final mention of all sponsors at the end of the hour, time permitting, enhances the single greatest benefit of advertising: name recognition. Name recognition is what you want, and it is more important to your business than the actual, specific content of your ad.
In addition to the quarter-hourly sponsors, there will be a second sponsor for the weather forecast, which will be aired immediately after the second and fourth spots air, consisting of a mention of the sponsor's name, followed by the weather forecast, followed by the weather sponsor's spot.
"This weather forecast is brought to you by Wally's Wallpaper," then the forecast, then the spot, then the opening of the next block of music with a mention of its sponsor.
Of course, block sponsors aren't going to hear a competitor's weather announcement during their block of sponsorship.
Sponsorships are available in monthly packages, and split into 3 dayparts, priced accordingly. Block sponsors will also be presented in a banner on each page of the Golden Gate Greats website just under the weather widget at the top left of each page).
Each sponsor's hour will be, often, advanced each day by one hour during the sponsored daypart. That is, if a sponsor airs in the 8 AM hour on Monday, then that sponsor will air in the 9 AM hour on Tuesday, the 10 AM hour on Wednesday, etc., then back to the 8 AM hour once that sponsor has exhausted all hours in it's daypart. This applies to both hourly and weather sponsors. If the next hour is not available, then the sponsor in question will be moved to the next available hour. Hourly sponsors can also purchase weather sponsorships and tie them to their hourly sponsorships, if desired, although it's probably a better plan to keep them separated.
Sponsorships which begin on the first day of any given calendar month will include as many consecutive days of hourly sponsorship as there are days in that month. Monthly sponsorships which begin on other days will include 28 consecutive days of hourly sponsorship. Monthly sponsorships may include up to 6 different spots to air at the sponsor's discretion. Additional content changes are priced at $20.00 each.
Additional sponsorship terms may be offered to accomodate hours which cannot be filled any otherwise.
In the event of a broadcast failure, during any sponsored hour, of greater than 5 minutes duration, the advertiser's block will be bumped to the next available hour in its contracted daypart and made good. Alternatively, the cost of that block can be refunded to the advertiser.
Commercial production is available at an additional charge of $50.00 for a single voice speaking over a music bed of up to one minute in duration. More sophisticated production is available (zingers, multiple voices, etc.) for an additional fee.
The available dayparts and pricing are as follows:
For hourly sponsorships:
For weather sponsorships:
